For three days, the Big Sur Food & Wine Festival hosts chef dinners, winemaker tastings, and wine walks at Big Sur resorts and restaurants along Highway 1, raising money for local nonprofits. Many events sell out, so check the schedule and buy tickets ahead. Stargazer Hotel on Munras Avenue is right by Highway 1, the road south to Big Sur.
